The Molina Campos Museum of Areco, of Fundación Las Lilas, displays an important collection of the known folk and humorist Argentine artist Florencio Molina Campos (1891-1959). The exhibition comprises Water-colors, Pastels, Gouache, advertising posters , as well as, personal objects. They represent a unique expression of the painter´s artistic and cultural heritage.
Through this initiative, and parallel to exhibiting the works of Molina Campos, Fundación Las Lilas, tries to draw the attention of the domestic community by promoting lectures and exhibitions on Argentine art from the pre-Columbian period to nowadays.
San Antonio de Areco, known as the Capital of Gaucho Tradition, is a point of tourist attraction and among other milestones, it gave birth to Ricardo Güiraldes, author of “Don Segundo Sombra”, one of the epic works of Argentine literature. |
